Is My Boyfriend Cheating on Me? - Signs of a Cheater

By Serenity Carson

When cheating is suspected in a relationship, the first thing you might feel like doing is confronting your boyfriend about his cheating. This isn't the best thing to do. He will probably deny your accusations, and he will get annoyed if you keep bringing it up. It will increase the tension in your relationship that may be leading to the infidelity, potentially causing him to cheat more. Sometimes even innocent men think that if they are being accused of cheating all the time anyway, they might as well be doing it.

The best thing to do is to get some evidence before making any decisions. If you find evidence that he can't deny, he will have to come clean. Learn to recognize the signs of cheating. If he is suddenly being very distant from you and staying out late with the boys or at work, keep a note of it. Casually ask later what he did, and be prepared to catch any slip-ups. Always gauge his reactions as they can reveal if he is cheating.

Cheating boyfriends who think they can't be caught are a lot less careful. If he thinks you're suspecting him of cheating, he will be more careful which will make it harder to catch him in the act. If he is nervous while on the phone when you are around, casually comment on it after the call. Act as if you don't suspect anything and he will let his guards down.

If your boyfriend is cheating on you, he is abusing your trust. This doesn't mean that you should lie to him or cheat on him in return. The best thing is to do is to keep track of the signs of his infidelity and confront him when you have evidence.

Ignorance is not bliss in this situation. Finding out that your partner is cheating can hurt, but it is the first step to finding a better relationship.
